    Seasons endings and beginnings

    Wednesday, October 31, 2007, 06:09 PM [General]

Well our ren season has ended. The last faire was Fishers Renaissance Faire in Fishers Indian. That went really well despite the insane heat for the beginning of October! We had a lot of fun.

Now that the ren season is over the creating and web working season begins. I can finally start to catch up on all the new designs that have yet to find a home on my web page. Though that does mean making more of some designs (oh darn more time creating) as they found homes before I got pictures of them.

The first of the newly taken pictures is sized and up on my site. This piece just has a great feel with the combined stones.

    There's two kinds of tired

    Sunday, May 6, 2007, 01:33 PM [General]

There's good tired and there's bad tired
Ironically enough bad tired can be a day that you won.
But you won other peoples battles, you lived other people days, other peoples agendas, other dreams; and when its all over there was very little You in there. And when you hit the hay at night some how you toss and turn you don't settle easy.
Good tired, ironically enough, can be a day that you lost. But you don't even have to tell yourself cause you knew you fought your battles, you chased your dreams, you lived your days. And when you hit the hay at night you settle easy, you sleep the sleep of the just and you can say 'take me away'.

A little of my latetest work

    Thursday, April 19, 2007, 07:37 PM [General]

Although I should be spending more time working on new jewelry I took a break to work on chain mail to go on the back of my husbands gloves. I am still working on pierced totem animal pendants the one shown here is cut out of 18 gauge red brass. The chain mail is a bit tougher though being out of 18 gauge steel and I am hand cutting every link with a jewelry saw. Yes the picture is actual size, yes I know I am insane ;)

    Preperations have begun

    Sunday, March 11, 2007, 10:08 AM [General]

With Mayfaire in Marshall MI a short time away I have actually begun preperations more than 2 weeks before fair! It will be a wonderful new feeling to start faire with more new stock than ever before. For the past week my hands have been covered in brass dust as I have been working intently on pierced pendants. The process involves creating a design, cutting it out of a sheet of metal with a very small saw, and finally cleaning and polishing the piece. Currently I have 10 new necklaces in various pre-polishing stages. I have added a photo of some of the pieces I am currently working on in my photo section if you would like to take a look.
